Whither McCain?
|
| |
They always say the opera ain’t over until the fat lady sings, and though it’s not over yet for him it seems John McCain will stay before the curtain for awhile longer. We thought his candidacy was DOA not that long ago and, bang, he wins New Hampshire. McCain was our choice several months back, but given his struggles old DG had started to look elsewhere. Hence the Ron Paul endorsement, which we’re about to modify (stay tuned for details on that). Anyway, as the McCain campaign rolls into our home state of Michigan we are having second, positive, thoughts about him. He certainly has taken a gutsy stance on the war in Iraq, and we’re impressed with him on that alone. What we’ll do, we suspect we won’t even know for sure until we step into the booth. But we’ve learned this: presidential races are for the long haul, and we here at Gideon for President should be careful for whom we speak. Or dismiss.
