Al Gore and the possible.

Al Gore is a moron. Yet it is only out of human charity that we accuse him of mere ignorance, for the possible truth of the matter would indicate worse. That is, he could be a deceitful scare monger who relishes control over other people and things. Why say that? Well, we’re only using his own logic against him. Based on a careful read of his own Earth in the Balance, he really only sees impending environmental disaster as ‘possible’. Still, he insists that it will happen and that we must act now as though it will, rather than take the time to test and observe what may actually be happening and acting accordingly. Sadly, it is easier to create hysteria (and a possible - that word again - springboard for the 2008 Democratic nomination) against the possible than an understanding of the actual. That’s what earns folks Nobel Prizes these days. Yep, Al, you’re a moron. And that’s being kind.
